Renovation of a historical building in Milan

Originally known as the “Borgo degli Ortolani” (Fruit and Vegetable Village), today the Sarpi district is called Chinatown. In addition to representing a small corner of China, it is a very fashionable area of Milan that was recently redeveloped.

The area underwent a recovery project that involved several buildings, including the one in via Bramante 13. It was a significant renovation project, not only urban but also social, considering it is a historical complex for the city of Milan.

DQG contributed to the building’s recovery by supplying and installing 280 new fixtures, including windows, French doors and balcony doors (or secondary entrance): the chosen profile is the DQG 70 in white mass color, with double glass of 41 dB. This highly performing glazing was necessary to reduce the noise from the surrounding traffic caused by tram passage.

DQG also produced aluminium louver shutters in shades of Matte Silver Grey (RAL 7001) with adjustable slats. Despite the installation of DQG fixtures taking place in a restricted traffic zone (ZTL) with very limited access for vehicles, the construction site was managed efficiently thanks to our logistics and installation office.
