A building requalification with a strong social impact.
Lux Living was born from the recovery plan of an area on which an important glass production complex – the former Lux Glassworks – previously stood. The area is located in the hamlet of ‘La Torre’ in the municipality of Montelupo, close to the course of the Arno river.
The initiative has created 107 apartments and flats, an inner courtyard and public spaces for residents to meet, for which DQG provided and installed 500 fixtures including windows, French doors, balcony doors (or secondary entrances) and glazed entrance doors.
In all the rooms we find our two-tone windows and doors in the DQG 70 profile: the interior side was made in white, a shade that guarantees cleanliness and light, whereas grey was chosen for the exterior side, a coating that gives the façade a unique style.
Building: Social housing
Intervention: New building
Number of windows/doors: 500
Country: Italy
Area: Montelupo Fiorentino, Florence
