New residential area

Recovery project of the neighborhood of Le Piagge, Florence.

In 2020, the recovery project of a residential area called ‘Il Casone’ abandoned for years, in the Piagge suburb of Florence, in Via dell’Osteria, was completed.

The intervention gave rise to a social housing complex organized in a single courtyard building block four storeys high above ground, with a total of 83 flats.

In all the rooms, 41 dB double-glazed white DQG 70 casings were installed: the glazing chosen for our windows and French doors ensures optimal noise abatement, given the nearby presence of the Florence Airport.

DQG also supplied and installed the large condominium windows, complete with entrance doors and certified emergency exits.

The intervention was characterized by particularly complicated logistics due to the shape of the building and difficult-to-access attic rooms. Despite this, our installation teams managed to complete the installation of all DQG products to the total satisfaction of the client and end customers.
